the name\u00a0<strong>'Aurinia'<\/strong>.<\/p><p>As a testimony to its greatness, the<strong>\u00a0\"Puntone Necropolis\u00a0<\/strong>and of\u00a0<strong>'Pian di Palma'<\/strong>over 200 hectares. In these places, according to legend, the\u00a0<strong>god Saturn<\/strong>driven out by the<strong>Olympus<\/strong>for his misdeeds.<\/p><p>The city, protected by the god of harvest and prosperity, had the merit of offering sulphurous waters for the\u00a0<strong>'Thermae'<\/strong>\u00a0so appreciated by the Romans.<\/p><p>Even today, the \u00a0<strong>Terme di Saturnia<\/strong>\u00a0are sought after for the waters that have been flowing for thousands of years within a natural crater at a constant temperature of<strong>37 \u00b0 C.<\/strong><\/p><p>No less famous are the\u00a0<strong>\"Mill Falls<\/strong>where the warm thermal waters cascade in an impressive natural cascade forming pools where it is possible to bathe freely.<\/p><p>Villages rich in history such as\u00a0<strong>Pitigliano<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sorano<\/strong>\u00a0e<strong>\u00a0Sovana<\/strong>\u00a0can be reached in 30 minutes by car.<\/p><p>While about an hour's drive away, it is possible to go to the\u00a0<strong>Mount Amiata<\/strong>\u00a0or to the<strong>Argentario<\/strong>\u00a0to visit\u00a0<strong>Orbetello<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Porto Ercole\u00a0<\/strong>e\u00a0<strong>Porto Santo Stefano<\/strong>where there are also ferry departures for the<strong>Giglio Island.<\/strong><\/p><p><iframe style=\"display: none;\"><\/iframe><\/p><p><iframe style=\"display: none;\"><\/iframe><\/p><p><iframe style=\"display: none;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saturnia Saturnia Saturnia\u00a0affonda le sue radici nei millenni, prima villaggio villanoviano, poi fiorente citt\u00e0\u2019 etrusca con il nome\u00a0\u201cAurinia\u201d.
