The thermal spring
Hotel Saturno Fonte Pura has a thermal spring with extraordinary beneficial characteristics. The water flowing in our thermal pools maintains a constant temperature of around 37.5°. The continuous flow allows a regular exchange of water throughout the day. The thermal water in our facility treats various skin problems, causes a natural exfoliating pelling and a deep antiseptic cleansing action, and acts as a vasodilator on the cardio-circulatory and respiratory system, reducing blood pressure.
Inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis can benefit from thermal cures mainly in the form of balneotherapy and less often in the form of mud baths. Thermal cures can be a therapeutic alternative for psoriasis and can be interspersed with other medical therapies or used in combination. In general, considerable improvement can be achieved with thermal cures alone in mild and moderate forms of psoriasis, while less conspicuous results will occur in more extensive and severe forms of the disease.
The sulphurous waters gush out at a temperature of 37.5° and have renowned therapeutic properties, providing relaxation and well-being just by immersing yourself in them.
Chemically, the water is sulphurous, carbonic, sulphated, bicarbonate-alkaline, with the presence of hydrogen sulphide gas and carbon dioxide. Rich in mineral salts, it is a powerful antioxidant.
The thermal waters in our facility have been recognised by the Ministry of Health as being suitable for balneotherapy, arthro-rheumatic diseases, gynaecological and dermatological diseases, and in particular for the treatment of psoriasis.
The thermal waters of Saturnia are also renowned for their deep cleansing and antiseptic action. They are a real skin rejuvenator because they naturally peel the skin, promoting cell renewal and giving it an intense glow.
In conclusion, they are particularly effective for treating the motor and respiratory systems: they alleviate muscular rigidity and give greater elasticity to the tissues. Finally, inhaling the spontaneous vapours has a disinfectant effect on the first airways with a marked improvement in breathing.
